TRUTHS
The blood is the foundation of
life, it circulates through every part
of the body, and unless it is pure
and rich, good health is impossible.
If disease has entered the system
the only lure and quick way to drive
it out is io purify and enrich the
blood.
Thesa simple facts are well
known, and the highest medical
authorities agree that nothing but
iron will restore the blood to its
natural condition; and also that
all the iron preparations hitherto
made blacken the teeth, cause head
ache, and are otherwise injurious.
Brown's Iron Bitters will thor
oughly and quickly assimilate with
the blood, purifying and strengthen
ing it, and thus drive disease from
any part of the system, and it will
not blacken the teeth, cause head
ache or constipation, and is posi
tively not injurious.

Gents: Upon the recommenda
tion of a. fnend I tried Brown's
Iron Bitters as a tonic and re
storative for xny daughter, whoea
I was thoroughly convinced vras
wasting away with Consumption.
Having lost three daughters by the
terrible disease, tinder the care of
eminent physicians, I was loth to
believe that anything could arrest
the progress of the disease, but, to
xny great surprise, before my daugh
ter had taken one botde of Brows1
Ixok Emm, she began to xnead
and now is quite restored to former
health. A fifth daughter began to
show signs of Consumption, and
when the physician was consulted
he quickly said "Tonics were rt-
S aired ;" and when informed that
je cider sister was taking Brown's
Iron Bitters, responded "that i
a good toaic, tike it."

He Got It
One of the most touching things
we have read in a long time it
i that story of a robber and a poor
lone woman in Ohio. The robbei
came to her house at night and
demanded her raone or her life.
She hadn't much tnonev or life
either, but she preferred giving
up the former rather than the lat
ter; so she brought her little stoie
and placed it in his hand. lie
looked it over carefully, to see
that she didn't palm off any 20
j cent pieces for quarters, and face
tiously told her that he could
credit her for onlv 04. cents on the
trade dollars, chiding her for tak
ing them at their fact; value
''Haven't you anything else of
value?" inquired the bold, bad
burglar, looking about the scantily
furnished apartment; ''a child's
bracelet, ring, anything will be
thankfully, received." She had
nothing more, sho replied, with a
siffb. A thought struck hnn
"Your husband was a soldier, was
he not?" She acknowledged that
he was, and was killed in the war.
"Then he must have had a revol
ver," he continued, searching her
countenance. "Ah, you grow con
fused; you stammer; your manner
betrays you. Get that revolver at
j once and give it to me." In vain
the woman implored him to spare
that harmless trinket, almost the
i sole memorial of the husband . she
had lost. She had pawned many
things while in distress, but had
always huns: on to that. But the
robber was unrelenting. Sobbin
bitterlv, she went to a bureau
drawer and removed the precious
relic, around which clustered so
many tender recollections. "Must
you have it?" said she, advancing
with trembling step toward lum
"Yes, I must," said the robber,
extending his hand. "Well, then
