Value of Printing Material.
There are but few people out
side of the trade who have any
idea of the value of printing
material. A general survey of all
the various articles in use (ails to
convey tp the mind any fair esti
mate as to their value, and we
dou't know that any better way
could be thought of to enlighten
the public on this point than by
quoting a few of the offers we have
recently received from people who
want printing material, but have
not the cash handy to pay for it.
J. L. "Writes from Texas "We
will deed you 140 acres of land in
a central location, if you will send
us 50 pounds Nonpareil, 5 pounds
Leads, and a cut of a iack about
4xS inches."
M. C. II. writes "Will you
trade us a small card press, with
six or seven fonts of type, for 275
acres of land in Arkansas? It is
right in the center of God's coun
try." J. H. H. writes from Arizona
"We must have more type. Now
we will tell you what we will do.
Send us 35 pounds bourgeois, with
5 pounds italic, 3 fonts long primer
law italic, and yards nonpareil
reglet, and we will transfer
shares of stock in the 'Struck It
Rich Mining Company..' Some
day this stock may be worth a
thousand dollars a share."
We have made a careful esti
mate of our stock on hand and
find, at the above valuation of real
estate, that we have enough tvpe
on hand to buy all the land in
North and South America. Europe,
Asia, Africa, Australia, tho lie
brides and a good big slice of the
Arctic ocean. Primer's Register.
In reply to certain questions by
our representative, K. L. Loweree,
Esq., cashier of the Cincinnati
Southern Railway, ebserved: -'I
was suffering from a severe attack
of rheumatism in my right foot; it
was in a terrible condition; the
pain was almost intolerable; our
family physician waited on me
without success; sent for another
well-known M. D., but even the
twain could do nothing for me; 1
could not get down here to the of
fice to attend to m' duties; in fact
I could not put my foot under me
at all, and after nine weeks suffer
ing I began to grow desperate.
My friend (whom of course you
know, for he is known by every
body. Mr. Stacev Hill, of the
Mount Auburn Inclined Plane
Railroad Co., called to see me; he
spoke very highly of St. Jacobs
Oil, and recommended the remedy
to me in glowing terms. 1 laughed
at the idea of using a proprietary
medicine, and yet the party rec
ommcndinjr it. (Mr. Stacey Hill,
remember), being a man of sound !
judgment, set me to thinking the!
matter over. 1 he next day, when
the physicians called, I dismissed
them, and said to myself that I
would let nature take its course.
That resolution lasted just a day.
On the following morning I, in a
fit of desperation, sent a sorvant
for a bottle of St. Jacobs Oil. I
applied that wonderful remedy,
and it penetrated me so that I

off, but it did not; in fact it did
just the opposite. The next morn

foot, the swelling was reduced,
and really the appearance was so

I Jacobs Oil, and that afternoon I
' walked down here to the office,
j and was able to attend to my du
ties anu get arouna as wen as any
one. JLet me say ior fct. Jacous
Oil that it beats railroad time, and
is always sure to win. Cincin

No Mop.e Sick Akadache. For
persons of delicate health and nerv
ousness; hear what an eminent lady
lecturer says: ''Having suffered from
nervous headache for some time, and
not finding any relief from tho treat
ment of our best physicians, 1 tried
Pf tinder's Oregon Blood Purifier. One
dose of this r smarkable remedy gave
immediate relief, and a few bottles
of the same cured me so far. I can
recommend it, specially to ladies suf
