furnace. When a "heat is draw
from a furnace there remains aj
quantity of slag nd cinders. This
is led olr through tapping hole
at tie bottom of the furnace into
the "tapping buggy," a small;
wagon a foot and a half deep and;
tw feet long, and is thus carlod
away. Ryan drew his buggy away
while walking backward, with his
fa turned toward the buggy.
He did not notice that another of
the loaded carts was behind him,
and backing against it he fell into
its rod hot load of cinders, sitting
down on the top of the glowing,
fiery mass. With shrieks of pain
he endeavored to get out of the
burning contonts of the wagon,
and had partly succeeded when he
fell back again into the flaming
heap. The smell of his burning
garments and the sickening odor
of his roasting licsh filled, the
mill. Ryan made another effort,
and rolled from the wagon to the
lloor of the mill, where he writhed
in excruciating agony, wane ms
horrified follow-workmen ran to his
assistance. He was frightfully
burned about the neck and legs.
Ryan was removed to his home on
Tan Every avenue, and Dr. Mc
Tammany was summoned. The
unfortunate victim suffered intense
agony during the night. This
morniug he was attacked with fits
of vomiting, and hope of his re
covery was almost abandoned.
After the aocident Ryan's flesh
fell off in large flakes, leaving
gaping holes from which the blood
flowed, while he writhed in the
most agonizing suffering. Troy

That's n. common expres
sion and has a world of
meaning. How much suf
ferlnj is summed up in it
The singular thing about
it is, that pain in the back
is occasioned by so many
things. May be caused by
kidney disease, liver com
plaint, consumption, cold,
nervous debility, &c
Whatever the cause, don't
neglect it Something is
wrong and needs prompt
attention. No medicine has
yet been discovered that
will so quickly and surely
cure such diseases as
Brown's Iron Bitters, and
it does this by commencing
at the foundation, and mak
ing the blood pure and rich.
Wra. P. -Marshall, of Logans
port, Indianaivrites: "My wife
has for many years been trou
bled from pain in her back
and general debility incident
to her sex. She has taken one
bottle of Brown's Iron Bitters,
and I can truthfully say that
she has been so much benefited
that she prQiiounces it the
only remedy of many medi
cines hc lias tried."
Leading physicians and
clergymen use and recom
mend Brown's Iron Bit
ters. It has cured others
suffering as you arc, and it
will cure you.

and Ulcerated Piles has been discovered by
Dr. Williams, (an Indian Remedy), called
Dr. William's Indian Ointment. A single
box has cured the worst chronic cases of 25
or 30 years standing. No one need suffer
five minutes after applying this wonderful
soothing medicine. Lotions, Instruments and
electuaries do more harm than good. Wil
liam's Ointment absorbs the tumors, allays
the Intense i tehing, (particularly at night af
ter getting warm hi bed), acts as a poultice,
fives instant relief, and Is prepared only for
iies, itching of the private part3, and for
nothing else.
Read what the Hon. J. M. Cofilnburry of
Cleveland, says about Dr. William's Indian
Pile Ointment : I have used scores of Pile
Cures, and it affords me pleasure to say that
I have never found anything which gave
such immediate and permanent relief as Dr.
William's Indian Ointment.
