The item in yesterday s Asiti:iA,
purporting to he an account of a game
of base-ball played al Fort Canity on
Sunday, is just a little exaggerated, and
your informant makes rather free with
the names of some of the boys. There
had been no game of base-ball played,
neither was there any in progress
when the individual mentioned as
"dressed in blue" made his appear
ance. "A few of the boys were pimply
throwing and catching the ball when
the officer in command at the Fort
politely and properly sent them word
that base-ball playing could not be in
dulged in there on that day.
