It is a tributary of tho Nssall river, which empties into Shoalivater bay. Tho land along Salmon river is good soil, aud on the highlands thero is some of the fine'st timber in tho Ter ritory. There are five families along this river at present, and there is room for a large settlement, and per sons seeking homes will find good land to settle upon. There is a good road from Hill'slanding, on Deep river, to the centre of section 7, on Salmon river, a distance of two miles. Wo havo a good school here and money enough in the treasury to pay for an eight months term; so you will see that wo do not lack for educational facilities.
