Feather collars are the novelty for young ladies to wear in the street. Those of dark green feathers, with a tin bird for ornament on each shoul der, are handsome with green cos tumes. Others aro ravens' feathers, jet black, with a fringe of feathers tipped with jet. At a recent wedding at St. George's, Hanover square, in London, five out of the six bridesmaids wore different colors. This novelty was slightly sug gestive of a rainbow. One wore blue, another red, a third violet, and a fourth bronze. The two others, who were children, wore cream color. Among the new cloaks is a novel ulster. The material z cheviot of any pattern or color that the wearer may desire; the long ulster form is pre served, but the upper portion fits more closely than heretofore, and is f.isteued in at tiie waist by a broad belt which is alipped through loopi of tho same material; the?e are fastened to the body of the garment. The effect :i odd at first sight, and a slender, grace ful figure is required to et ir off to advantage. The style is becoming, however, and is quite 'dressy. The broad collar and tho small muff are of the leopard skin plush. Tho exquisite toilels of this season are perfect in each most minute detail and quite as much consideration is given to the tasteful selection ol shoes and stockings as to the material of the dress ' and tho jewels to accompany it. A very serious at tempt has, however been made by Europan and American artists to in troduce healthful and comfortable shoes, and to their credit, bo it said, our leadpis of style have generally ac cepted such invitations, hence the boots and shoes intended for out-door wear, traveling, walking, riding or skating, which are made upon hygien ic principles, are worthy uf earnest recommendation.
