Health displays itself in all the dimpling lines of their tinted Heals, their beaming eyes, their laughing mouths, lusty movements, and vigorous cries. Undress the aver age two-year-old boy, place lum in a warm, .sunny atmosplwre, occupied with Arcadian sports, and In! one of Rubens' typical naked infants has stepped from the- canvas, his exquisitely-molded form all aglow with ro3y lights, beneath an auerole of sunny hair, or brown skinned attd muscular, vith thick rings of chestnut hair clus iering over his head. Here, how diferent! Not withstanding the miMlerate and equa ble climate which prevails all the year round the little strangers who come into the world with tiny hands grop ing for love and warmth, and .soft pink .skins s-nsUive to the least breath of cold air, find ready to envelop the tiny bodies a bountiful store of soft flannels, ole knit shirts of Angora wooj, mid rational, high-necked, long sleeed robe.", and neither are the Utile woolen sacks forgetten: while for outdoor wear the little appliances of eomfott are eked out with dainty knit leggings, warm cloaks and bon nets. And another sensible innova tion upon old and established fashions of babyhood is the almost universal habit of putting the little folks into short clothes when from two to four months of age, so that they can kick and tumble and "stretch their small limbs at pleasure, itntrammclcd by the long clinging skirls of infancy; and the consequence is happy and strong babies, whos- limbs and muscles early begin to acquire agility and strength.
