The Ocklahama yesterday came i

Capt. Geo. Flavol is one of the
directors of the State Agricultural

the interior yestorday, and will pro
ceed to South Bend to-day via steamer

A son from Washington, Mr.
Henry W. Wheeler, and a daughter
from Alameda, Miss M. E. Whocler,
are visiting Col. H. S. Wheeler at the
- -Mr. C. II. Cooper will be a pas

ously ill at the Baldwin, in San Fran
cisco. The Kosetta delivers many a load
of lumber in Astoria for improvements
here from the Knanoton mills. She
is now bringing over a quantity for

rival of De Long, in the Joamiettc, m
Atlantic waters, by way of the oast
coast of Gioenland, or by way of Lan
caster sound and Melville bay. Ho is
too well posted and too sensible to le
caught in Wrangel land, we believe.
A hail storm passed over Lewis
tun Friday, dune od, at about four
o'clock, which for weight of material
exceeded anything ever before ieeH in
those parts. The stones ranged from
the size of a marble to that of a
goose egg. Limbs were stripped from
trees and great damage done to fruit;
many birds and domestic fowls were
killed. Every house in town lost

Teller office, having a large sky-light
in the center, was almost wrecked.
Rev. Dr. Nevius was caught out in
j the storm, and escaped to shelter in a
damaged condition. Several other
persons were struck by the balls and
slightly injured. The bomlMtrdment
lasted about fiftoou minutes.
