It is thought that he must be somewhere in the vicinity, probably dead. A little steamer to run on the Ohehalis river has just been implied, and will commence as soon as she passes inspection. Several attempts have heretofore been made to run steamers on that river, but business would not justify their remaining, but as the country tributary has been rapidly settled up of late, the new candidate may meet with better suc cis. Address James Elverson, south-west corner Eighth and Locust streets, Philadel phia, Pennsylvania. Harper's last Weekly and Bazar have sermons in pictures which do more than all that lias been written upon the topics of which they treat. We cannot describe it. It is worthy of a place upon the walls of any man'a library. For him Shakespeare wrote, Milton sung, and Bacon and Newton toiled. The results of their labors lie close to his hand, and he has but to resign himself to their influence, and earthly trouble and care will be soothed by their siren voices.
