Ibissian paper announces that a belief in the
appi caching end of the world has sei.ed on
tho Cossacks of 'the Don. M.nny, especially
aged, people, are giving up wordly u Hairs,
wearing a shroud, and ordering their coin .
On every road are men repairing to Moscow
to be consecrated priests, in "older that the
smallest village may have its own priest and
church. The bussian paper fails to state
whether its delinquent subsci ibcis have taken
file -carc and paid up. That to our mind
would be stronger evidence of the approach of
tiie Milleniiium than any thing that a super
stitious Cossack could advance.
Don't 11k d Avi:ictisi:mknts. Occasionally
a business man is encountered who professes
to believe that" people don't read advertise

into an ad. it soon becomo- the talk of the
neigh bjorhood, and if the people do not read
