NEWSPAPER DECISIONS.
1. Any person who takes a paper regu
larly from the post-office whether direct
ed to his name or another's, or whether he
has subscribed or not is responsible for
the payment.
'2. If any person orders his paper discon
tinued, he must pay all arrearages, or the
publisher may continue to send it, until
payment is made, and collect the whole
amount whether the paper is taken from
the oiiice or not.
0. The coui ts have decided that refusing
to take newspapers and periodicals from
the post-office, or removing and leaving
them uncalled for, is prima facie evidence
( f intent ional fraud.
CHANGES IN POSTAL LAWS.
1. Pranking privilege abolished.
1. Xo mail matter can pass free.
:). Publishers must pay postage on ex
changes received.
4. Po-tal cards cannot bo sent to dead
letter office, nor used a second time.
o. Postage must be collected on newspa
pers published in the county, when deliv
ered through the mails.
(. Ordinary cards may be sent through
the mails with "one cent stamp, provided
the message is printed. The address may
be written.

specified, to-wit: The sum of three hundred
and twenty-eight dollars and seventy cents
(S32$ 70), in United states gold coin, with in
terest thereon in liko United States gold coin,
at tho rate of one per cent, por month in favor
of said plaintiff and against said defendant
.John M. Shively. together with costs and dis
bursements taxed at niroteen dollars and forty
cents (S1U 40), and other costs to accrue on said
execution, I have this day levied upon all tho
right, title, interest and estate of tho said John
M. Shively, in and to the said lots two (2)r
three (a), ten (10) and cloven (11), in said Klock
one hundred and fiftoen (115), ir said Slavery's
