Chair Sneddon noted that, based on each direc- tor’s ranked top three, that Spradling was in fifth place. The board agreed she would be removed from the discussion. Chair Sneddon then con- tinued to narrow down the list, showing that the top three candidates were Ar- mendariz, Mendolia and Lacouture. During the discussion, Chair Sneddon asked if any of the directors would like to adjust their rankings. None of the other mem- bers did, but Chair Sned- don noted that if he moved Lacouture to the top of his list, that would make him the clear leader in the rank- ings. He announced that he would, in fact, do that. This prompted Barnett to make a motion to vote on the candidacy of Lacou- ture. The board voted 4-1 in favor of Lacouture filling Position 1, with Milten- berger being the only member opposed. Next, Pimlott made a motion to vote on the can- didacy of Armendariz for Position 6. A vote was taken and the board unanimous- ly approved Armendariz’s candidacy. Both candidates will be sworn in at the Dec. 8 meet- ing of the board.
