Florence celebrates FEC’s 25 Years Aug. 25
T
he Florence Events
Center (FEC) has
announced a celebration
recognizing its 25th an-
niversary by hosting the
FEC 25 Year Celebration
on Wednesday, Aug. 25,
from 5:30 to 10 p.m. at
the FEC, 715 Quince St.
After over a year apart,
residents are invited to
come together and cel-
ebrate the local events
center and all the com-
munity building that oc-
curs here.
The FEC opened its
doors on Aug. 31, 1996,
and has been one of the
premier concert and live
theater venues on the Or-
egon coast. Join friends
and neighbors in cele-
brating 25 years at the
FEC with a free concert,
food and ice cream, fun
and games, a cornhole
tournament and more.
The City of Florence’s
goal for the FEC 25
Year Celebration is to
encourage communi-
ty members to come
together and enjoy an
amazing evening as
they rediscover the
event center and all it
can be.

The Celebration
• Live Music: A free
concert will be provid-
ed from 6 to 10 p.m. by
the band 5 Guys Named
Moe (themoes.com).
• Cornhole Tourna-
ment: Let the games be-
gin!
• Food & Ice Cream:
The FEC catering staff
will be treating the com-
munity to tasty food
while people enjoy the
evening. And don’t miss
the BJ’s ice cream!
• Fun & Games: Staff
and volunteers will be
on hand with large yard
games and other fun ac-
tivities for families.
• The city will also
be inviting some of our
partner agencies, organi-
zations and user groups
to join in the celebration
with fun activities for its patrons, community
people of all ages!

Join the Florence Events
Center for the area’s first
ever Cornhole Tournament
and help the FEC celebrate
25 years of being open to the
great community of Flor-
ence.
The tournament takes
place during the FEC
25 Years Celebration on
Wednesday, Aug. 25, and be-
gins at 6:15 p.m.
This tournament will be
limited to 16 two-person
teams and will be single
elimination.
The event will be played
based on the American
Cornhole Association rules
and regulations, which can
be found at www.eventcen-
