He moved to Florence,
Ore., in 2007.
Andrew enjoyed trav-
eling and spending time
with family. He was loved
by many and will be
missed.
Survivors include his
wife, Sharon Haldane;
sons Michael Haldane and
Rob (Vickie) Haldane;
stepsons Donnie Can-
ada and Michael Cana-
da; many grandchildren,
great-grandchildren and
step-grandchildren.
Andrew was preceded
in death by his first wife
Joan Haldane and his par-
ents Andrew and Edith

Florence man missing
On Wednesday, July
28, at approximately 7:20
A.M., Oregon State Police
Troopers and emergency
personnel responded to a
two vehicle crash on High-
way 101 near milepost 196.
Preliminary investiga-
tion revealed a Ford Con-
tour, operated by Rhon-
da Wild, 51, of Fresno,
Calif., was northbound
in the southbound lane
when it collided with a
southbound Nissan Titan,
pulling a boat, operat-
ed by Jason Smith, 46, of
Prineville, Ore.
Wild and Smith sus-
tained fatal injuries and
were pronounced de-
ceased.
Two passengers from
the Nissan, Heidi Smith,
47, of Prineville, and a ju-
venile, were transported to
the Florence hospital with
injuries.

Lane County Sheriff ’s Of-
fice, local emergency ser-

The Disabled American
Veterans (DAV) is in des-
perate need of volunteer
drivers who are willing to
drive veterans, in the DAV
van, to Portland for medi-
cal appointments .
The drive is about four
hours to Portland, four
hours for the return trip,
plus four hours waiting for
vets at the hospital. This is
a total of about 330 miles
and 12 hours.
