‘sea’ winning photos

In Siuslaw Viewfinders Camera
Club’s May photo judging, the theme
was “Sea.”
First place went to Jim Buch with
his “Blue Hour,” which made great use
of the lighting and a combination of
rocks and sand.
Cliff Harvey gave an interesting shot
of Heceta Head, making good use of
sunset lighting.
A really captivating photo of a bird
skimming above the surf was submit-
ted by Margie Kelley for third place.
“Great job everyone,” said member
Ed O’Rourke. “There were a lot of
really good photos submitted, so the
awards were very well deserved.”

Instructor brings ‘Art of
Play’ to classes at FRAA
Lynn Underwood will be
teaching “The Art of Play”
at the Florence Regional
Arts Alliance (FRAA) on
each first and third Mon-
day of the month from 1 to
3 p.m.
The first two classes are
June 7 and June 21.
In this mixed media
workshop,
participants
will explore acrylic paints,
stamps, collage, various
media and more. All skill
levels are welcome, and
each class will explore a
different creative process.
Cost is $35 for FRAA
members and $40 for
non-members, which will
cover the cost of materials
and instruction.
