Oregon Coast Military Museum hosts Rhody Days Poker Run Today, May 15, the Ore- gon Coast Military Museum is hosting a first-time poker run for Rhody Days to ben- efit Florence area nonprof- its who have struggled with the pandemic shut down of the past year. The commit- tee, headed by Gary Cargill of Florence in Bloom, is co- ordinating the event with the help of Rods n’ Rhodies Inc., the Rhody Cruisers and Jeeps R Us in Florence. “Just like the commercial business community, the nonprofit community has struggled financially, and this will provide at least some minimal relief for them, as well as bring back a little nor- mality to our community on Rhody Days,” Cargill said. In addition to the Oregon Coast Military Museum, participating nonprofits in- clude Florence Food Share, Florence Area Humane Soci- ety, Florence Habitat for Hu- manity and the Crossroads Church Backpack for Kids program. “The poker run will be an open format where all types of vehicles can participate such as classics, hot rods, motorcycles, Jeeps — or sim- ply anyone who wants to en- joy a day driving around the Florence area and helping our local nonprofits,” Cargill said. Registration will take place at Three Rivers Casino Resort starting at 9 a.m. on WEDNESDAY THURSDAY SATURDAY SUNDAY MONDAY TUESDAY MAY 15 MAY 16 MAY 17 MAY 18 MAY 19 PM Showers Showers 57°F 45°F 54°F 44°F Sunny 60°F 45°F Mostly Sunny Partly Cloudy 63°F 47°F 60°F 47°F May 15.
