But I earned an educational de- gree and was able to teach and coach for 34 years. Education counts more than any sports headline you attain in high school. To my knowledge, there has only been one athlete from Warrenton to play in the NFL. He lasted two years as a special team player for the Los Angeles Rams in the early 2000s. Millions of athletes have missed a full year due to Covid. Less than .08 per- cent of them will make it to the professional level. Let’s use Siuslaw and Mapleton high schools for an education and play sports for fun. It’s great to have a dream that push- es and motivates you to reach higher.
