She was at home with her mother, Linda, and her stepfa- ther, Jerry Quesnel. Renee was born March 10, 1970, in Escon- dido, Ca- lif. Renee’s R e n e e Downs Syn- Rhodes drome nev- er stopped her from living life to the fullest. Her joy and love for people were pure and made others feel special. Her passions were her family, music, dancing, making ceramics, trav- eling, cruises, TV game shows and puzzles. For the past 50 years, Re- nee was part of establish- ing school programs, work programs, changes in the law for the disabled, and educating society that peo- ple born different are vital, loving and contributing in- dividuals to society. Renee was the finest in- dividual I have ever known. We will miss your great smile, our Sunshine Hum- mingbird. AUDISS—Gene Morris Audiss (1931–2020) passed away in Albany, Ore., on Monday, July 20, 2020. He was 89 years old. Gene was born in Mar- tin, S.D., to Morris Herbert and Neva Marie Fisher Au- diss. He was the second of their three sons. Gene served in the U.S. Air Force from 1952-1955. He married Nora Mae Botelho on Aug. 12, 1951. He is survived by their children: Judith Haines (Ken), Scott Audiss (Cin- di) and Jay Audiss (Linda); his grandchildren: Hillary Haines Rodarte, Isaiah Haines (Serenity), Ram- sey Audiss, Taylor Audiss, Jacqueline Audiss, Micah Audiss (Erin) and Kelly Audiss; his great-grand- children: Karisa, Macayla and Isabella Rodarte; Ga- briel, Lucas, Brooklyn, Eli and Sam Haines; and Adley Audiss. After his wife, Nora, passed away June 7, 2004, Gene married Elaine Mey- ers on Dec. 11, 2004. Elaine passed away Nov. 25, 2018. He was also pre- ceded in death by his par- ents and his brothers, Lau- ren and Melvin. Gene worked for PayLess Drug Stores and lived in many cities throughout the northwest states. After re- tiring, he lived in Florence, Ore., where he served on the board for the Florence Church of the Nazarene, volunteered wherever there was a need and led a men’s Saturday morning Bible study for many years. He faithfully prayed for his family by name each day. He told people about Jesus whenever there was an opportunity. He would love to be remembered as a Christian who deeply loved God, his family and others. Gene was a hero to his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. He cherished and cared for his friends. We will all miss him. The family will hold a private service in his honor. If you would like to send a card to the family you may send it to Judy Haines, P.O.
