SIUSLAW NEWS | WEDNESDAY, JUNE 24, 2020 | 3A Community News Twin Lakes Store Celebrates anniversary with free chili dogs tomorrow J une is Twin Lakes Store’s eighth anniversary. To cele- brate, the store is offering free chili dogs to the community on Thursday, June 25, from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., or while supplies last. “June is our anniversary month,” said Vicki Ambrosio, owner and operator of Twin Lakes Grocery & Liquor. “Nor- mally we have a big neighbor- hood potluck and barbecue. Unfortunately, due to corona- virus restrictions, it has been canceled.” This annual event, which nor- mally includes a cake walk, was the store’s way of celebrating its anniversary with the communi- ty. “We regret having to cancel our fun get-together, but the social distancing rules make it difficult to put on an event safe- Here’s your chance to have a bit of history for just $3! I’m sure the neighborhood will like what we have come up with. But the 2020 event, like so many others this year, has been called off.” June marks two anniversaries for Twin Lakes. One year ago, it expanded to include a state- run liquor store alongside the convenience store, and eight years since the Ambrosio family purchased the property and the business. “The time has flown by,” said Ambrosio. “We do have fun here and our staff really enjoys the community.” In lieu of the BBQ, Twin Lakes has decided to offer free chili dogs and cupcakes. “We have to celebrate. We love our customers and want to be sure and say ‘thank’ you for their continued support,” Am- brosio added. Twin Lakes Grocery & Liquor is located three miles north of Florence on Highway 101. The community is invited to stop by, see whats new and celebrate these anniversaries with Twin Lakes staff. For more information, visit www.twinlakes.store.
