Citizens of Florence wait- ed in line while in their own vehicles in order to sign a petition to place the name of Sally Wantz on the Novem- ber 2020 ballot for Florence City Councilor. Each petition signer was given a clean clipboard, a sterile pen and a “thank you” from Wantz and her spouse, Jennifer French. After 16 years of work- ing in human resources for Three Rivers Casino Resort and the Confederated Tribes of Coos, Lower Umpqua and Siuslaw Indians, Wantz retired June 5.
