Florence City Council to hold special meetings June 22
On Monday, June 22,
beginning at 5:30 p.m., the
Florence City Council will
hold two back-to-back spe-
cial meetings via videocon-
ference.
The first meeting will
consist of a public hearing
to consider an application
for a 2020 Community
Development Block Grant
from Business Oregon to
support COVID-19 emer-
gency assistance for low- to
moderate-income worker
training.
Due to executive orders,
citizens are not current-
ly allowed to attend City
meetings in person. Inter-
ested citizens can listen and
view the meeting through
the ‘GoToWebinar’ plat-
form.

at least one hour prior the
meeting at 4:30 p.m.
City staff will then con-
tact the speak-er to let them
know the process to partici-
pate in the meeting.

Items:
Written comments re-
ceived regarding items on
the Florence City Council
agenda will be distributed
to the council and made
available to the public on
the City of Florence’s web-
site either on the Thursday
prior to the meeting or at 4
p.m. on the meeting date, as
long as they are received at
least two hours prior to the
meeting start time.
In this way, comments
received shall be consid-
ered by the Florence City
Council during their deci-
sion-making process.
