FAVORITE HIGH SCHOOL MEMORY: My favorite thing in high
school was to hang out and laugh with my friends.
BEST ADVICE RECEIVED: I’m a Life Scout with the Boy Scouts
of America. That’s where I learned my best piece of advice,
which is to look a person in the eye, and fi rmly shake their hand
(when social distancing isn’t a factor, of course).
PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: I like woodworking and helping out on the family farm. I plan
to pursue a vocational career.

on time. It makes a big difference!

but I had a lot of fun times in Mr. Johnson’s ap literature and composition
class junior year.
BEST ADVICE EVER RECEIVED: just do what you want, travel the world, and
you only live once I guess. I can’t really remember an actual quote.
PLANS AFTER GRADUATION: I’m going to L.C.C. for the fi rst two years and
get a transfer degree in early childhood education, and then attend SOU to
fi nish my education.
HOPES, DREAMS & ASPIRATIONS: I hope to become a good teacher who
infl uences my students lives like some of my old teachers.
GOOD ADVICE FOR UNDERCLASSMAN: Don’t try and show off, because it can get annoying. Try to get at least
b’s even if it doesn’t seem important now, but your gpa can really make or break you. Study for the SAT’s and
respect your teachers and parents because they do care about you.
HONORS RECEIVED IN AND OUT OF HIGH SCHOOL: I have been in NHS (national honors society) since my
sophomore year. I have received many achievements from my teachers who recognized my abilities in school.
CLUBS, SPORTS PARTICIPATED IN: I was in NHS for three years and key club for half a year. I didn’t play any
sports because I wanted to focus more on my academic career.

Honors College to get my degree in Mechanical Engineering. I’m going
to continue on to graduate school for a Robotic Engineering Master’s
degree.
HOPES, DREAMS & ASPIRATIONS: I want to build oceanic robots to
explore and map our oceans, specifi cally the Pacifi c. I want to map the
ocean fl oor and discover what lies beneath the waves. It’s weird to me
we haven’t explored something so close to home.
GOOD ADVICE FOR UNDERCLASSMEN: Don’t care about what you
come off as. The people that matter to you won’t care about the clothes you wear or how you act. Stay in
school even though you might joke about dropping out all the time, it will pay off. Hard work might not be
proven with plaques or medals or anything, but ultimately that doesn’t matter. Just live the life you want.

teachers have to say, a lot of them know what they are talking about. Don’t fail your classes, it
gets much easier later. Other than that, enjoy your time at SHS.
