G R I M M E T T — Ty l e r Grimmett, 29, of Florence, was born Oct. 31,1990 and passed away Feb. 7, 2020. We knew we had to let you experience what life was about and every- thing that it entails. You met and made a lot of friends in Tyler the pro- Grimmett cess, all of whom ex- perienced firsthand what an amazingly wonderful, giving and loving person you are. Every person you have met has a story about how funny, helpful and loyal you are. You had this amaz- ing gift of making every person you meet instantly comfortable. We are proud how you lived your life. You chose to live it with laughter, with love. You chose to share your light to anyone who was open and willing to enjoy the simple things in life with you. Laughter — it doesn’t cost anything. Anyone can laugh for as long as they’re open to it — open to the silly, the trivial, the seemingly routine. You taught us that. You loved uncondition- ally — both family and friends. you loved us even as we faltered, disappoint- ed, nagged — and for that we are eternally grateful. Your legacy will be car- ried on by the countless many you left behind, the countless many whose lives are forever changed be- cause of you. The overwhelming love and support we received from your friends, their respective families and even strangers has helped us through these upsetting times. We felt your hugs from every friend of yours who came up to us. And our family is stronger because of you. This is entirely your doing. This is because ev- eryone loves you, Tyler. Love and laughter. That is your legacy. As pro- foundly painful as it is to love and laugh without you physically here, we choose to do so. That is the lesson you’ve taught us. Thank you for the life lessons. Thank you for the hon- or of being your mom and dad” Please join us to gather and remember Tyler on Saturday, Feb. 22, begin- ning at 3 p.m., at the Pe- tersen Barn Community Center, 870 Berntzen Rd. in Eugene, Ore.
