SIUSLAW NEWS | WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 15, 2020 | 3A Community News New Brew in Old Town H omegrown Public House Brewery became the first Old Town establishment to brew and serve its own beer in more than 50 years. There was a full house on hand for both the VIP Tapping, which took place on Thursday night, and the Public Tasting which took place last Friday evening. Pub owners Scott and Elaine McMillan and Head Brewer Dustin Basurto (above) were on hand for the festivities and were “Pleased with the turnout and support the pub has received from the community.“ THERE IS NO “FREE LUNCH” Advice from a Funeral Director… It’s always good to listen, but before you sign up for cremation or burial arrange- ments with an out of town advertiser representing themselves as your “local experts”, always do your research. Ask these important questions: • Are they really “local” with staff and facilities in your community? • Are they really saving you money by signing up with them? • Are they going to refund 100% of your money if you change your mind? Our conveniently located office is locally owned and staffed by our neighbors, people right here in your community. We care about our community and offer simple and economical pre-arranged cremation and burial plans for over 32 years. Do your homework, support local and save money. WE GUARANTEE THAT OUR PRE-ARRANGED CREMATION OR BURIAL TRUST PLANS WILL BE LESS EXPENSIVE AND 100% REFUNDABLE SHOULD YOU MOVE OR CHANGE YOUR MIND.
