If DMV receives notice
that your car is totaled or
substantially altered after
Jan. 1, 2020, you will be
able to keep the plates and
registration on the vehicle
or transfer them to another
vehicle.
House Bill 2576, passed
by the 2019 Legislature,
changed requirements to
transfer plates and regis-
trations for some vehicles.
Here is what the new law
does:
• Requires tow compa-
nies to allow the registered
owner to remove their
plates from a vehicle after it
has been towed.
• Allows you to transfer
your plates and registration
when a salvage title has
been issued to your totaled
or substantially altered ve-
hicle.
• Allows you to keep the
plates and registration on,
or transfer them from, a
vehicle that is totaled or
substantially altered, or is
recovered after a theft, as
long as a salvage title has
not been issued.
• Allows an approved
customer-provided special
interest plate to be trans-
ferred from one vehicle to
another qualifying vehicle.
For more information on
plate transfers, visit Ore-
gonDMV.com.

PHPH Walk-In clinic location has moved
To ease transportation
challenges and better serve
patients, the PeaceHealth
Medical Group Walk-In
Clinic at PeaceHealth Peace
Harbor Medical Center has
been moved to the 390
Building, adjacent to the
Emergency Department, as
of Jan. 2.
The Walk-In Clinic’s pre-
vious location — the 380
Building, near the center of
the campus — was incon-
venient for patients who
are referred either to or
from the emergency room.
Cross-referrals were fre-
quently, posing challenges
for patients with limited
mobility and adding more
time to their visits.
In addition to being clos-
er to the ER, the Walk-In
Clinic’s new location is near
the Imaging and Labora-
tory departments, where
patients sometimes need
to go for services during a
clinic visit.
The Walk-In Clinic’s
current providers are Clare
Brien, MD; Thomas Caton,
MD; Aprill Graham, FNP;
and Ben Schroder, PA-C.
The Walk-In Clinic’s
Amy Tensen, PA-C, moved
to the 390 Building on Dec.
16.
In addition to this move,
the Behavioral Health Ser-
vices department has relo-
cated from the 340 Build-
ing, near the north end of
campus, to the 390 Build-
ing to help further inte-
grate behavioral health and
primary care services.
