Museum is pleased to pres-
ent the annual Florence Festival
of Trees on Saturday and Sunday,
Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, at the Flor-
ence Events Center, 715 Quince
St. This year’s event’s theme is
“I’ll be Home for Christmas.”
Beautiful trees and wreaths
festively decorated by local de-
signers will be available for bid
as well as immediate purchase.
Additional gifts and holiday
items will be offered by silent
auction, which will run through-
out the two-day event.
Now in its seventh season, this
year’s Festival of Trees features a
full schedule of Saturday activ-
ities and entertainment geared
for family fun. Children of all
ages are invited to have photos
taken with Santa and Mrs. Claus
Saturday morning from 10 a.m.
to 2 p.m. and spend the day dec-
orating gingerbread playdough,
making holiday crafts, paint-
ing rocks and getting their face
painted.
At noon, Houndful Hearts
Basset Rescue will be on hand
for a meet and greet as well as
photo opportunities with a spe-
cial group of holiday hounds.
Performances by the Flor-
ence Community Chorus, Holi-
day Bell Ringers, CROW Flight
Dance Team and vocal perform-
ers, as well as a children’s choir

On Sunday, Dec. 1, the sev-
enth annual Gala of Giving Din-
ner and Auction to benefit the
Oregon Coast Military Museum
will take place from 4 to 8 p.m.
Ticketholders will enjoy a de-
lightful evening filled with great
food, wine and an opportunity
to bid on specialty-themed trees
led by local auctioneer extraordi-
naire Bob Sneddon.
All proceeds from the auction
will go to benefit the Oregon
Coast Military Museum and sup-
port its ongoing mission to hon-
or all veterans. Seating is limited;
tickets are $55 per person and
available for purchase from FTS
