Annual Celtic Music Festival this weekend in Yachats
The Yachats Celtic Music
Festival is presenting seven
different bands, five different
workshops, whisky tasting and
much more.
The dates for the 19th an-
nual event are Friday to Sun-
day, Nov. 8, 9 and 10. Free and
ticketed concerts, workshops,
jamming, dancing and whisky
tasting take place all weekend
in various venues around town.

Friday at noon with free enter-
tainment in the Commons.
Celtic inspired food and
beverages will be available in
the Commons during the fes-
tivities. The village embraces
the festival and many Yachats
shops and restaurants display
their Celtic enthusiasm during
the weekend.

“Hands on Harps” workshops.

ing whiskey tasting tour and

Scotch and Irish Whiskies. The
Single Malt Whisky Tasting is
led by John Robbins.
Workshop leaders are Lisa
Lynne, Maldon Meehan, and
Rob Gandara.
New this year is a special
Sunday concert, featuring Cas-
sie and Maggie MacDonald
and Vishten. This concert will
follow the always popular free
Sunday Ceili dance workshop
and community dance.
Performers will include Nu-
ala Kennedy & Eamon O’Leary,
Kevin Carr, Vishtèn. Gillian
Boucher & Bob McNeill , Cas-
sie and Maggie MacDonald,
Beòlach and Lisa Lynne and
Aryeh Frankfurter.

The Yachats Celtic Music
Festival is a Polly Plumb Pro-
ductions and Yachats commu-
nity supported event. The fes-
tival’s success is based on local
support through sponsorships,
hundreds of donated volunteer
hours, and Celtic Music lovers
who attend the shows.
