Jim and Sue traveled to many places around the U.S. in their fifth-wheel, enjoying their retirement. Jim passed away in 2001. Sue then bought a home in Florence at Coast Vil- lage, spending summers in Florence and winters in Queens Valley. Sue was proceded in death by her parents, James and Jac Dearman and Sue and Freeman Blocker; her sister, Charlene (Ira) “Buddy” Lossett; and her daughter Robyne’s hus- band, Cliff. Sue is survived by her brothers: Matt (Pat) Dear- man and James “June” Dearman; her children: Debra Lindsey, Greg (Na- dine) Lindsey, Ken Lind- sey, Robyne Hensley and Linda Lindsey; many nieces and nephews; nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. A celebration of her life will be held at the Maple- ton Evangelical Church on Saturday, July 13, at 1 p.m. Burns’s Riverside Chapel Florence Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. The “Birdman” July 3rd at 3:00 pm. Everyone is welcome to attend. Join Us as we learn about exotic birds. See them close up and learn many things about the species from the “Birdman”. LCSO to launch safe boating patrols July 5-7 Lane County Sheriff ’s Office Marine Patrol deputies, in partnership with the National Asso- ciation of State Boating Law Administrators and the U.S. Coast Guard, will be participating in the “Operation Dry Wa- ter” heightened aware- ness and enforcement weekend from July 5 to 7. Operation Dry Water is a boating-under-the-in- fluence awareness and enforcement campaign to reduce the number of alcohol- and drug-relat- ed crashes and fatalities related to recreational boating. The Lane County Sheriff ’s Office will be on the lookout for impaired boaters with a priority to remove dangerous and impaired boaters from the waterways.
