Last year’s Block Party celebrating the 125th anni- versary of the city’s founding was a huge hit. Hundreds of community members and visitors spent an evening with family and friends en- joying live music, visiting local restaurants and shops and enjoying activities sponsored by area business- es, nonprofits and groups. The 2019 Community Block Party will encourage the community to come together and enjoy an amazing evening with their friends and family. During the event, the city will be celebrating its sec- ond anniversary of being a Coast Guard City, kicking off the Power of Florence on July 20, encouraging ex- ploration of what Florence has to offer, and celebrating summer! The event will provide free live music and activities for people of all ages. Sponsorship and other opportunities are available. For more information, visit www.ci.florence.or.us.
