“The Perfect Alibi”

When a young woman ac-
cuses college-football super-
star Blaine Hastings of rape,
the DNA evidence against
him is overwhelming. Yet the
athlete swears his innocence
and threatens both his law-
yer and his accuser. When a
second rape occurs, the DNA
evidence again points to Hast-
ings. The only problem? Hast-
ings was in prison when the
crime was committed. As a
result, the convicted athlete,

Quilt Guild is having an
old-fashioned quilt show
on Friday, May 17, from
10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and on
Saturday, May 19, from 10
a.m. to 4 p.m.
More than 65 quilts will
be shown in numerous
styles and many will be for
sale. There will also be a
boutique with books, mag-
azines and small items for
sale. There will be no ven-
dors and most of the quilts
will be placed on beds,
couches and recliners.
The raffle quilt “Wonky
lighthouses” will be ex-
hibited and tickets will be
available. There will also
be another community
quilt available for sealed
bid auction.
