Stories of restoring the Siuslaw to be featured during special watershed presentation

films about the partners
of the Siuslaw Watershed
Council (SWC) explain-
ing the restoration efforts
throughout the Siuslaw and
coastal lakes watershed.
The screenings will be
followed by a panel discus-
sion about the groups’ work
together.
The screening is sched-
uled for Wednesday, March
27, from 5:30 to 7 p.m.

craft beer, wine, gourmet
popcorn, and other treats

Fishing has slowed a little

everyday by both boat

Conditions look good for
the rest of the week and
the river should fish well
through the weekend.
There is a good mix of
hatchery and wild fish
being caught throughout
the system. Numbers of
wild and hatchery fish
should continue to
improve, as we get closer
to the peak of the run in
February and March.
Anglers are starting to
catch more wild fish in
the basin as well, remem-
ber to handle these wild
fish with care and imme-
diately release them back
into the river. January is
typically when things heat
up and continue through
March/April.
Side drifting, bobber
dogging, bobber fishing
with jigs, and casting lures
are all great techniques to
catch winter steelhead.
