Ginny has been grooming dogs and
cats since 1991 when she bought a shop
in Hawaii. After selling the very successful
business there known as Classy Clippin’ she
decided to move to Florence in 2005 and
open Aloha Pet Grooming. Along with her
dedication to quality Pet Grooming she has
also become very successful on the Dog
Show circuit showing and breeding her
beloved Miniature Australian Shepherds.
Ginny has accomplished the “Breeder of
Merit” award with AKC. Pursuing her
dreams she now owns RENO which is a

I was born in Vernonia, Ore., and moved
to Roseburg when I was 4. I attended school
there, including two years at Umpqua
Community College, before receiving a degree
in marketing/business with a minor in psychol-
ogy at Oregon State University. When I was
25, my partner and I purchased the
Gingerbread Village restaurant in Mapleton. In
1984, we also bought the Windward Inn in
Florence. After four years, I left the Windward
Inn in 1988 and solely focused on running the
Gingerbread restaurant until 2004. After 25
years in the restaurant industry, I decided it

I’ve been visiting Florence since 82 when my
folks moved here. I followed suit in 2015 and
quickly met my fi ancé Brian Robbers here
a few months later. Brian is a retired rocket
engineer and I still work in real estate; I’m
currently enjoying my 44th year as a Realtor
and am at Windermere Real Estate. Brian and
I enjoy fi shing, traveling, camping, scuba diving
and hiking with our Aussie Shepherd Khloe
the Wonder Dog. We just fi nished building our
forever home by Woahink Lake.
In my spare time I volunteer my talents.
Currently, I’m: (1) President of the Oregon
Coast Humane Society; (2) a Director on
the Chamber of Commerce Board; (3) sit on

2016 after having served 8 years
in the Air Force. She received
her initial tech training while
serving. During that time, she

Tiffany Rogato moved to Oregon from
California in 1992 and to Florence in 1993. The
town shares a name with her grandmother. In
1994 she opened Florence bookkeeping with the
fanfare of one flyer. This company grew quickly.
Four years later, with the prompting of local busi-
ness owners, she started Welcome to Florence, a
greeting service that welcomes many newcomers
to our town every month.
In 2000 she partnered with George Rogato
and his sons, Michael and Patrick, they cre-
ated and continue to operate OregonFAST.
net, a local Wireless Internet Service Provider/

here in Florence.

Chantelle Meyer is the features editor at
Siuslaw News, where she formats, edits and
creates the special features and editions of
the twice-weekly Florence-area newspaper.
She enjoys writing stories about economic
development, events around town and the
fascinating people who make up the Siuslaw
Region. She loves the creativity she gets
to use daily and the chance to feature her
own and the editorial staff’s writings and
photographs.
Her main goal is to live a creative life,
and she can definitely say she is.
When not working, Chantelle likes to
read, write and draw, as well as volunteer
with local community groups, dress in cos-
tume and continue to explore this area she
calls home.
She has an MFA in Children’s Literature
and looks forward to publishing her books

Siuslaw News
I am a born and raised Florence girl. My
dads (Bill Grover) side of the family has roots
in the Ada area here. My late moms (Diana
‘Stinger’ Grover) side of the family moved
here in the 50’s.
I have worked at The Siuslaw News since
May of 2010, leaving for a little over a year
between 2016-18. I have always loved my
job here at the Siuslaw News and the people
I work with.
My husband loves his job as well. He
works for Lofy Construction. We have three
Awesome kids, Shakina (16), McCainley (7)
& Nikila (5).
Our little family loves playing games,
watching movies as well as fishing and
camping when we get a chance.
All in all I feel very blessed for what I have!

In 1979, my husband Dave and I
moved to Florence as newlyweds. 39
years later, we continue to split our time
between here and Springfield where
we both grew up. Dave manages and
works the family timber farm outside of
Springfield as well as working in con-
struction. I have been with the Siuslaw
News for 15 years as a Marketing
