The mission of Oregon Coast Humane Society
is to rescue, care for and find responsible, loving,
permanent homes for homeless and at-risk dogs and
cats; to advance the goal of a no-kill community; to
promote the principal of a lifetime commitment to
our pets; and to provide for spay-neuter and educa-
tional programs to the public. The OCHS Shelter, a
no-kill facility, is located at 2840 Rhododendron Dr.
Volunteers are always needed to socialize with
pets, help out at the OCHS Thrift Shop on Bay Street
in Florence and to help get ready for the annual Hol-
