survived
by Joanne Logan, Wanda
Spalteholz, Terry Lopez, Jack
Ford and three brothers.
Jacquie moved to north-
ern California to live with
her step-daughter and son-
in-law, Richard and Angela
Giddings, after the loss of
her husband, Harry, who
preceeded her in death.
At her request, private cre-
mation rites were held.

Stone. She

ceased by
her hus-
band of 65
years, Rex

by her daughter, Tina Heard
(Geoff); son Paul (Gwen)
Underwood; grandchildren
Kevin Heard and Megan
Sadler (Chris); and nephew
Bob Stone.
Julie and Rex met through
their love of music (cello
and violin) and it remained
a life-long endeavor of love,
as was their passion for
world travel. She received
her bachelor of music from
Marylhurst College.
Julie was a member of the
music
fraternity/sorority
Mu Phi Epsilon, as well as
numerous other musical as-
sociations. In her later years,
Julie was active in the DAR
and the Mapleton Garden
Club.
Julie’s pride and joy was
the garden park she creat-
ed out of acreage original-
ly overgrown with Siuslaw
River blackberry bushes.
She was a vivacious, unique
woman who made friends
with people from all walks
of life. Being socially gregar-
ious, she invited all she met
to visit her home and gar-
den.
Julie’s family would like to
thank all of her close friends,
neighbors and community
for their continuing care and
support during her illness.
Also, thank you to Peace
Harbor Hospice, the New
Horizons care giving team
and the fellowship of St.
Andrews Episcopal Church,
where a memorial service
will be held on Saturday,
Nov. 3, beginning at 11 a.m.
Remembrances
can
be made to St. Andrews
Church or to the charity of
your choice.

• Aaron Barnes pleaded guilty
to criminal trespass. He was sen-
tenced to 1 day in the Florence
City Jail and must not be in or
about the residence or place of
employment of the victim.
• Chandler Cameron pleaded
guilty of driving while suspend-
ed. He was sentenced to two days
in the Florence City Jail. He must
pay $1280 in fines.
• Michael Dawyne Dearman
pleaded no contest to attempt-
ed possession of methamphet-
amines. He must pay $525 in
fines.
• Aubrey Lynn McCabe plead-
ed guilty to attempted possession
of methamphetamines. She must
pay $575 in fines.
Sept. 25
• Stephanie Ann Carey plead-
ed no contest to theft. She was
sentenced to 3 days in the Flor-
ence City Jail. She must pay $730
in fines and not be in or about
the residence or place of employ-
ment of the victim.
• Aretta Christina Evans
pleaded no contest to DUII. She
was sentenced to 2 days in the
Florence City Jail. She must pay
$1,565 in fines and her driver’s
license is suspended for life.
• David Michael Trevino
pleaded no contest to DUII. He
was sentenced to 2 days in the
Florence City Jail. He must pay
$2,385 in fines and his driver’s
license was suspended for 1 year.
• Luis Forrest Mendez pleaded
no contest to theft, criminal mis-
chief, criminal trespass and re-
sisting arrest. He must pay $100
in fines.
