Unitarians to hear how
thoughts, lifestyle affect health
On Sunday, Sept. 16, from 10
to 11 a.m., at the Florence Uni-
tarian Universalist Fellowship,
guest speaker Dr. Dean Shrock
will share a message titled, “How
Thoughts, Feelings and Lifestyle
Affect Your Health.”
Shrock said, “The science and
common sense are that if you’re
feeling happy or sad, tense or
relaxed, these mental states do
affect your physical body. How
about the will to live? Or hope
and hopelessness? The fact is
that you can worry yourself
sick.”
Shrock will share the antidote
for managing your life and
health that he discovered in his
work and research as Director
of Mind-Body Medicine for a
group of 40 cancer centers.
The fellowship is located at
87738 Highway 101 at Heceta
Beach Road and is wheelchair
accessible. Each service con-
cludes with refreshments and
a dialogue circle to explore the
questions that come up during
each worship service.
