McKeown, DeFazio to
host town hall Tuesday
Representative Cady McK-
eown will be holding a series
of public coffee hours between
now and the November elec-
tion. The first in the “Coffee
with Caddy” series will take
place at the Siuslaw Public
Library, an hour prior to Con-
gressman Peter DeFazio’s up-
coming town hall in Florence
on Tuesday, Aug. 28.
The public is encouraged to
attend and participate in this
open-ended discussion of the
issues facing the South Coast.
DeFazio has endorsed Rep.
McKeown in the November
general election.
“Caddy McKeown is one of
the good ones,” said DeFazio.
“She was born and raised in
this area and has dedicated
her life to public service. She
served on the Coos Bay School
Board, the Port of Coos Bay
Board of Commissioners and
has been the State Representa-
tive for this area for six years.
“When others in Salem
prioritize Portland interests,
Caddy represents the South
Coast. I’m proud to support
her campaign for re-election.”
The Florence Coffee with
Caddy will begin 10 a.m. at
the Siuslaw Public Library.
DeFazio’s presentation will
follow at 11 a.m., also at the
library.
For more information on
the Coffee with Caddy series,
or to RSVP, visit www.coffee-
withcaddy.com.
