where she finished school.
After moving to Oregon,
she spent the last 18 years of
her life retired and living in
Florence.
Katy loved to travel, see
new places and meet new
people. She loved the out-
doors; a drive up into the
mountains looking for fire-
wood and wildflowers; tak-
ing care of the flowers in
her yard; sitting by the fire
at night and talking with her
birds, raccoons and an occai-
sional bear, usually with one
of her cats purring on her lap.
She loved all the friends
she had. With her quick wit
and pretty smile, Katy always
brought a laugh and a smile
from all those around her.
She leaves behind sisters
Elizabeth and Mary; nieces
Teresa and Sherry; neph-
ews Michael, Jeff and Bruce;
grand nephews Paul, Todd,
Zachary and Tucker; her life
partner Tex; and all who love
and miss her very much.
Katy will be laid to rest July
16, in Williams, Calif., Ceme-
tary, right next to her mother,
whom she loved very much.
