Presenter
LCOG, Leslie Gilbert
Leslie began her career with positions in case management with adults with developmental disabilities, and
professional education about diverse learners at the University of Oregon. She has worked as the Health
Promotion/Chronic Disease Prevention Coordinator for LCOG Senior and Disability Services for over three
years. This position is perfect for her because her passion is patient education and empowerment. Having
experienced disability her whole life, she values the opportunity to help others understand and manage their
health to the best of their ability. In her position, she coordinates health education workshops called the Living
Well Programs; these workshops help adults with chronic health conditions learn how to better cope with and
improve their health conditions through sleep, exercise, nutrition, relaxation, and so much more. Leslie developed
additional skills and knowledge when she recently completed a Master of Public Health degree from Oregon
