Unitarian Universalists
consider ‘dual law of
thought’ this Sunday
On Sunday, June 3, from
10 to 11 a.m., at the Flor-
ence Unitarian Universalist
Fellowship (FUUF), the Rev.
Marcia Pearce will lead the
worship service titled, “The
Dual Law of Thought.”
Pearce said, “There are a
few great laws that govern
all thinking, just as there
are a few fundamental laws
in chemistry. We are all well
aware that controlling our
thoughts is key to moving
ourselves in our own desired
direction.
“We also know how dif-
ficult it can be to ‘dismiss’ a
thought directly, but what we
think upon — grows. This
is an Eastern maxim and it
sums up rather neatly one of
the most fundamental of all
the laws of mind. We can use
these ‘laws of thought’ to en-
hance our spiritual growth,
and thus our very living-
ness.”
The fellowship, 87738
Highway 101 at Heceta
Beach Rd., is wheelchair ac-
cessible.
Each service concludes
with refreshments and a
dialogue circle to explore
the questions that come up
during each worship service.

Spirituali-Tea to host
night of music Monday
Almost every Monday
evening for the past 18 years,
community members have
gathered together at 875 Sev-
enth St., the Heintz home, to
discuss matters of the Spirit.
Previously called “Soup’s
On” and now called “Spir-
ituali-Tea,” the group will
host an evening of music this
Monday, June 4.
People are invited to bring
CDs, records, music pro-
grams and almost any device
that holds that special song.
The group will talk a little
about each sharing and enjoy
an evening of music.
In addition, the Spiritua-
li-Tea group will also read
the prayer requests left in the
Prayer Pole in the garden of
the Florence Playhouse and
those of all who attend.
Tea, coffee and cookies
will be offered at the 6:30
p.m. meeting.
