OBITUARIES
KIRKPATRICK —
Roseanna Forbush Kirkpat-
rick, 68, of Florence, passed
away April 23, 2018. She was
born in Springville, Utah, to
Maurice and Rosalie Forbush,
Sept. 30,
1950.
She was
the oldest
sister to
five sib-
lings, and
and is sur-
vived by
her mom,
Roseana
Sharon;
Kirkpatrick
brothers
and sis-
ters: Christie, Denise, T. Jay,
Becky, Donald, Donnie, and
Nicholas, all of Utah; her son,
David; and grandson Silas of
Beavercreek, Ore.
Roseanna “Rosie” was a
hardworking mother, grand-
mother and friend, and made
a name for herself in the com-
munity as a massage therapist
and energy worker.
Her passions also includ-
ed close family relationships,
pottery, music, natural living,
and Native culture.
She’ll be greatly missed and
will always be watching over
us with healing hands and a
nurturing spirit.
Memorial services will be
held at the Woahink Day Use
Meeting Area Yurt, east of
Jessie M. Honeyman Memo-
rial State Park, at 5469 Canary
Rd., south of Florence.
Feel free to come and re-
member Roseanna.
The service will be held
Sunday, May 27, beginning
with an open house from
noon to 3 p.m. Come visit
and share memories.
The program begins at 3
p.m. and will be followed by
a reception.
Arrive anytime between
noon and 3 p.m. to visit and
celebrate Rosie.
Please bring photos to dis-
play and memories to share at
the program if you have and
would like. If you can, bring
a bouquet of flowers or a dish
or dessert to share.
We have a fridge and stove-
top as needed.

'Click it or Ticket' campaign
underway now through June
Law enforcement across
Oregon will be reminding
motorists and their pas-
sengers about Oregon laws
during a campaign that fo-
cuses on using the right safe-
ty child safety restraints.
Studies show using the
proper restraint can reduce
the risk of major injury or
death by 65 percent.
Yet in Oregon in 2016,
crash data shows lack of a
safety belt or a child restraint
system was a factor in 26 per-
cent of the 343 motor vehicle
occupant deaths.
Extra law enforcement,
funded by a grant from
ODOT’s
Transportation
Safety Division, will be on
the lookout to assure motor-
ists and their passengers are
traveling as safely as possible
through June.
