Though the Lady Vikings
stayed within two runs for the
first few innings in the night-
cap, North Bend put the game
away with eight runs in the top
of the seventh inning before
securing 10-0 win.
“The change in pitching
speeds Lucas brought to the
circle frustrated our batters,”
O’Mara said.
The Lady Viks got one hit
each from Nina Aaron, Abby
Coday and Alyssa Richards in
Friday’s match-up.
Heading into Monday, North
Bend was in second place at
10-2 (17-5 overall), with
Siuslaw in a tie for fourth place
with Brookings-Harbor at 4-8
in league play. Monday was
also Siuslaw’s senior night,
with the Lady Viks hosting the
Lancers (after press deadlines)
in the final home game for sen-
iors Katlin Meskimen, Ariel
Rosenbaum and Coday.
Thursday, Siuslaw will wrap
up its season on the road at
South Umpqua in a double-
header with the Lancers, with
games at 3 and 5 p.m.
