SHS BASEBALL
The Siuslaw Baseball
Association has announced
that the program will once
again be the Siuslaw Baseball
and Softball Association.
SBSA fast-pitch softball is
open to all girls ages 10-18.
Online registration is now

In a supportive transition,
the Boys and Girls Club of
Western Lane County has
handed over its softball
efforts to the SBSA to begin a
new era of softball for the
Florence area and to help
build a strong high school
softball program.
A group of parents has
helped make this transition
with support from the SBSA
board. The group of softball
parents will continue to be
involved in the management
and organization of the new
softball branch of the pro-
gram under the experienced
board of the SBA/SBSA.
The softball management
team developed a new mis-
sion statement in support of

Lady Viks open softball season

In their second game of the season,
the Viking baseball team kept things
close with visiting Sutherlin on Friday,
generating a run off senior Tanner
Wilson, who got aboard and eventually
scored for Siuslaw to put the Vikings
within 1 run, 1-3.
While Siuslaw held the Bulldogs
scoreless in the fourth inning, to keep
the score close, Sutherlin managed 9
runs between the fifth and sixth innings
for a 12-1 lead heading into the bottom
