Lake leads the league at 2-0.

road in the Eagles’ nest at McKenzie
High School, where the Sailors split the
night.
The girls were the first to tip off
against a high-pressure Eagles defense
that has managed to go 2-1 in the
Mountain West League so far this sea-
son, creating a tie with Alsea.

team picked up its third win of the
pre-season Tuesday night at home
against Waldport. Six members of
the Lady Vikings line-up con-
tributed to scoring, with freshman
Brea Blankenship and sophomore
Mia Collins each scoring in double
digits at 10 points apiece.

games.

Against Brookings, the Viks got
wins from Elijah LaCosse (126 lbs.),
Ryan Jennings (152 lbs.), Goldblatt,
Riley Jennings, Christian Newlan
(220 lbs.) and Horillo.
The Viks faced Marshfield in the
fourth round. Though the Viks got
wins from Richard Huff (132 lbs.),
LaCosse, Hill, Ryan Jennings and
Infante, Marshfield edged Siuslaw 39-

27 to remain the only undefeated team
at the meet.
The Viks were also dealt a loss
from host Douglas, 42-26, giving
Siuslaw (3-2) a third-place finish
overall behind first-place Marshfield
(5-0) and second-place Douglas (4-1).
