Santa Claus is coming
to the Elks Lodge Dec. 16
Hey kids! Santa Claus is
coming to the Florence Elks
Lodge on Saturday, Dec. 16.
The fun will start at 1 p.m.
There will be so many
things happening that day,
including a presentation from
the kids at Children’s
Repertory
of
Oregon
Workshops (CROW), a wan-
dering fiddler, a band, an
organist and much more in
the way of entertainment.

attendance.
Couple that with piñatas,
cookies and ice cream, and

embers of the Pacific Coast Wind Ensemble performed at the annual Yachats Christmas Festival on Saturday.
The group plays at holiday events and local festivals, including a performance at the Oregon Coast Aquarium
in Newport this weekend, Dec. 16. Members of the ensemble are from coastal communities and are a mixed
group of music professionals, amateurs and students.
Heceta Lighthouse ‘Victorian Christmas’ this weekend
The community is invited to
the Heceta Head Lightstation’s
22nd
annual
Victorian
Christmas Open House.
Doors will be open to the
public from 4 to 7 p.m. on
Saturday, Dec. 16, and Sunday,
Dec. 17.
Enjoy the majesty of the
beautifully decorated Keeper’s
House. Each evening local
musicians will perform holiday
favorites while local sponsors
provide warm drinks and cook-
ies.
In addition, Santa Claus will
also be visiting each evening.
A free shuttle service from
the Heceta Head Lighthouse
State Scenic Viewpoint parking
lot will be available. There is a
$5 day-use fee required for
parking.
Admission to the Keeper’s
House is free.
The Heceta Lighthouse Gift
Shop will be open for those last-
minute gifts, and the state park
will have the lighthouse open as
well, so bring a flashlight and
rain jacket, just in case.
