said. “Many people in America
today are organizing their lives
around biblical prophecies and
are making political, as well as
personal decisions based on
them.
“We will explore what
prophets we, as Unitarian
Universalists, follow, what
prophecies we pay attention to
and what prophecies we need
to be paying more attention to
in today’s changing world.”
In addition, on Saturday,
Nov. 11 from 10 a.m. until 2
p.m., Miller, an internationally
known futurist, will be doing a
presentation and dialogue on
“What’s the World Coming
To?”
“Rapid changes in technolo-
gy and consciousness are driv-
ing our society through a shift
unlike anything humanity has
seen in thousands of years,”
Miller said. “What does this
mean for our children and their
children?”
A $10 donation is requested

event.

Each service concludes with
refreshments and a dialogue

Spirituali-Tea to look at
subjects of kindness, sympathy
On Monday, Nov. 13, at
6:30 p.m. all are invited to join
a group from diverse spritual
paths looking to share their
spiritual path and to under-
stand and appreciate the paths
of others.
The topic will be the duty of
kindness
and
sympathy
towards strangers.
The Baha’i Writings say;
“When a man turns his face to
God, he finds sunshine every-
where. All men are his broth-
ers. Let not conventionality
cause you to seem cold and
unsympathetic when you meet
strange people from other
countries ...”
The gathering will meet at
the Heintz home, 875 Seventh
St.
People are encouraged to
bring their thoughts on the
subject for open discussion.
The gathering will end at 8
p.m. with prayers for the
requests left in the Prayer Pole
in the garden of the Florence
Playhouse and those shared by
the group.
