Hank Shreve Band to
200th birthday of founder play Three Rivers Casino
On Monday, Sept. 25, at
6:30 p.m., the public is invit-
ed to join a group of people
who enjoy finding the com-
mon grounds in diverse spiri-
tual thoughts and paths.
This October, Spirituali-Tea
will be celebrating the 200th
anniversary of the birth of
Bahá’u’lláh, one of two
prophets that are the central
figures in the Bahá’í faith, a
worldwide religion that extols
the essential worth of all reli-
gions, along with the unity and
equality of all people.

TO MEET T UESDAY
For the next several weeks,
Spirituali-Tea will be mark-
ing Bahá’u’lláh’s birth,
which is considered a holy
day by the Bahá’í faith, by
focusing on his life and
teachings.
The Monday gathering will
end at 8 p.m. with prayers for
the requests left in the Prayer
Pole in the garden of the
Florence Playhouse and those
shared by the group.

‘Acceptance’ topic of
tomorrow’s FUUF meeting
The Reverend Dr. Ruth
Miller will lead the Florence
Unitarian Universalist Fellow-
ship (FUUF) worship service
on Sunday, Sept. 24, from 10
to 11 a.m.
The title of Miller’s mes-
sage will be “Getting to
Acceptance.”

90 by 30 project will meet
Tuesday, Sept. 26, from 10:30
a.m. to noon in the Bromley
Room of the Siuslaw Public
Library, 1460 Ninth St.
The mission of the 90 by 30
project is to reduce child abuse
and neglect by 90 percent by
the year 2030.
This county-wide effort
focuses on implementing pre-
vention programs selected by
the communities being served.
