The “Dog Days of Summer”
dog house contest will take
place Saturday, Sept. 16, with
participants competing to see
who can build the best dog
house out of pallets, scrap or
whatever is lying around the
yard.
Loved Again Pets, a non-
profit foster-based pet rescue
in Lane County, will be host-
ing the “Dog Days of
Summer” cookie get-together
and dog house contest.
All dog house entries must
be brought to Craig’s BBQ,
located in the Pro Lumber
parking lot on Highway 101,
by noon on Saturday, Sept. 16,
during the cookie get-together.
The dog houses will be auc-
tioned off Saturday, Sept. 30,
from 11 a.m. to noon via
Craig’s BBQ’s Facebook page
and live at the food cart.
It will be a 50/50 split to the
dog house that brings in the
most money, along with a $25
gift certificate to Craig’s BBQ.
Second prize will be 75/25
split and a $15 gift certificate,
and third prize will be a $10
gift certificate.
All proceeds, after payment
of monetary prizes, will go to
the Loved Again Pets medical
fund.
