Visitors to the annual Florence Festival of Books can expect dozens of authors and publishers, as well as writing workshops each day during the festival.

of Books, a book fair for
authors, publishers and
readers, will take place
Friday and Saturday, Sept. 29 and
30.
The event is hosted by the Friends
of the FEC and the FFOB planning
committee.
Now in its seventh year, the book
festival continues to be a popular
gathering for authors, publishers and
potential future authors, as well as
readers eager to find and meet new
authors.
The public is invited to this free
event.

guest speaker kick-
ing off this year’s Festival of Books.

The book festival will feature sever-
al publishers. Writers are invited to
bring their manuscripts for a chance
to meet with publishers representing
many genres including: fiction, non-
fiction, memoir, children’s literature,
fantasy, mystery, young adult, poet-
ry and more.
Nearly 20 of the authors in atten-
dance will be local residents.
On Friday, Sept. 29, John Daniel,
winner of the 2006 Pacific Northwest
Bookseller’s Association Book
