Spruce Point Assisted Living and Memory Care held a garage sale the weekend of July 22 and 23 to raise funds for the
Oregon Coast Humane Society (OCHS). OCHS currently has 11 cats and 4 dogs that are seniors and they are affect-
ed the same way humans are by age-related conditions that require special food and joint supplements. Spruce Point
Assisted Living and Memory Care raised $1,100 for the senior animals, along with 3 dogs being adopted at the event.

Unitarians
explore ‘Inner
Vision’
The Rev. Dr. Marcia
Pearce will lead the worship
service at the Florence
Unitarian
Universalist
Fellowship on Sunday, Aug.
6, from 10 to 11 a.m.
The title of her message is:
“Use Your Inner Vision,”
inspired by one of Pearce's
favorite quotes from Henry
David Thoreau, “It's not what
you look at that matters, it's
what you see.”
The UU Fellowship is
located at 87738 Highway
101 at Heceta Beach Road.
Each service concludes
with refreshments and a dia-
logue circle to explore the
questions that come up dur-
ing each service.
