2017-18 Coastal Concert

said Karen Smales, vice-presi-
dent of the Seacoast Board and
its program director. “The feed-
back for our last season was so
positive from our audiences,
we really used that to energize
our selections for the 2017-18
series.
“Along with exciting new
talent, we’re pleased to be able
to respond to the requests of the
community
and
bring
Quattrosound to open the sec-

Basket Day at OCHS
Thrift Store this weekend
Everything old is new again
at the Oregon Coast Humane
Society (OCHS) Thrift Store
on Bay Street.
Basket Day, June 30 and
July 1, kicks off great savings
options and a whole new look
that started with the hiring of
Florence artist-retail marketer
Kat Cunningham as the new
manager.
The yellow building has
been temporarily closed and
the gray corner building has
been redeveloped throughout
and will now be called “Paws
Boutique.”
This new boutique look,
using a store-within-a-store
concept, offers a unique desti-
nation shopping experience.

prices with a deliberate
lifestyle look in a fun and
friendly atmosphere,” said
Cunningham. “It’s called ‘the-
matic retail marketing.’ The
merchandise is now staged to
match how you live, and the
fun is that each mini-store will
change constantly.”
The volunteer team is
enjoying the challenge of cre-
ating new scenarios for each
store theme. The most impor-
tant thing is that all the dona-
tions and money goes to sav-
ing and supporting the lives of
cats and dogs.
The team is looking for peo-
ple who want a comfortable,
worthwhile volunteer experi-
ence.
St. Mary’s Catholic Church
will be holding a garage sale
fundraiser July 1 and 2 and are
inviting the public to attend.
The sale will offer a large vari-
ety of products available to
buy, ranging from clothes to
furniture pieces, all reasonably
priced.
The garage sale will be at
Saint Mary’s Catholic Church,
85060 Highway 101, from 9
a.m. to 3 p.m.
All are welcome to attend.
